The single most important trait a professional should have !

professiona attitude

We are very prone to straight forward solutions to complex problems. Quick fixes are the only options now a days. We try to imagine as if a list of seven habits to be effective or 101 ways to get rich quick will work out at the end of the day as a map and we will be happy. I was in a discussion about these with a friend when all of a sudden this question popped up that – ” If you want to hire a professional what is the single most important thing that you will look for? ”

The question is quiet open. We can have tons of answers and can argue that the one we suggest holds great impetus. But let’s cross check our assumptions. Are the ones successful in their lives; are always the one who are punctual? Do you know some one who is not hard working yet is at the pinnacle of his or her life? Not all CEOs are from Harvard and not all of them think alike. So isn’t there anything in common to them? Let’s see.

Guarantee Success is never guaranteed and neither is failure. But what is guaranteed is Change. A person might be hard working but the moment demands something else. So to reap the opportunity out of this ever changing world, one has to adapt. Adaptability? Am I proposing that those who have been successful whether employees, professionals or Entrepreneurs all were adaptable? May be not. But there is something more bigger than this.

You say, “Even if not adaptive, aren’t those who succeed, have greater optimism than other’s that at the end of the day, will they make it?”

Don’t they display perseverance in their work, aren’t they with a good sense of humor. Or to end it all, let’s say they are the ones with the right state of Attitude!

So don’t these optimists, with great sense of humor or awesome attitudes, break? Aren’t they bogged down at times? They are. But what differentiates them is to get back in their original shape and again bring everything on track as it should be.

They are supple, they are flexible. They adapt and change as per the situation demands. They face the highest levels of pressure and then return back with a broad smile. To keep it short. They show Resilience! Resilience I believe is the parent set of all the qualities that we will finalize a successful person should inhibit. There are thousands of known and unknown honchos in business. Some way or the other the degree of success that they achieved is a direct product if resilience they displayed towards life.

So the final formula to succeed in a professional life is
{ Level of Success — is directly proportional to — The Level of Resilience }

Do let me know your thoughts on the same. Until then I leave you with the following take away. (From – allinspiration.com)
